Glucuronidation Assays

Glucuronidation is an important phase 2 metabolism process by which a sugar moiety is enzymatically conjugated to a compound of interest via -OH, -NH2, -SH or -COOH functional groups. The resulting conjugate or glucuronide is more hydrophilic than the original compound, which facilitates elimination through excretion.

Using the Nanostream LD System, you can develop a simple and convenient assay for the study of drug-drug interactions related to UGTs. The system significantly reduces the analysis time for assay development and solvent used for the experiment.
